Canal walk, Kirkintilloch to Westerton on 30/09/17

Posted 17/09/17

The Leaders recce'd this walk on Friday and found that it is a nine miles walk, not six miles as stated in the programme. This would make the walk a C+ grade but there is an option for walkers to leave the canal path at Maryhill and catch the bus which will slightly shorten the walk.

C+ Walk on Saturday 14 October 2017

Posted 19/08/17

The C+ walk in the programme to Stoneymollan is inadvisable for C walkers due to recent logging, so the leaders, Fiona and Anne, have changed it to the Gartmore Aberfoyle Circle, a relatively flat walk of 12 km (7.5 mls) with only gentle inclines, with the distance providing the C+ designation. Starting at Gartmore. Coffee at the Aizle. Meet at MSCP at 09.30.
