Update from Scottish Water re Mugdock Road
‘We (Scottish Water) have reviewed the access to Mugdock Road for cyclists and pedestrians. A system has been set up so that both groups can now move safely through our works on Mugdock Road. While work is underway manned barriers will be set up at either end. If a member of the public would like to pass, they will be asked to wait a few minutes until our plant can stop and move to one side, and then they will be escorted through the short section where work is taking place. This arrangement will only need to take place until we reach the entrance of our site compound where pedestrians and cyclists (dismounted) can use the adjacent path.
Walking holiday abroad in 2020
A one-week trip to the island of La Palma in the Canary Islands in late October to mid November of 2020 is being considered. Travel would be by a direct flight from Glasgow to Tenerife and then by a ferry across to La Palma. The trip is conditional on a sufficient number of potential participants and on finding organisers who would look after the walking programme. Expressions of interest and indications of willingness to coordinate and/or lead walks are to be sent to Peter Bartos (firstname.lastname@example.org). These are entirely non-binding and do not convey any advantage in case of the trip going ahead.
