30th Anniversary Celebration Dinner and Ceilidh
Friday 12th October 2018, 7pm.
Update: Great news-we have now reached our desired numbers for this event and anyone sending booking requests from now on will be informed that they are on a waiting list.
This enjoyable event will be held in Milngavie Bowling Club, 60 Station Rd. Milngavie, at 6.30 for 7.00pm. There will be a meal followed by an informal ceilidh, so come along and have some fun. No ceilidh experience is necessary, as the dances will all be called. The cost for this evening is £15 per person. Please send a Social Event Booking form plus payment to Sheila Crawford. Please come along and join the celebrations.
It is with sadness we have to inform the group of the death of (wee) Betty McNab, a longtime member and friend to many of the group. Funeral will take place on Thursday 27th September, Clydebank Crematorium @ 3.30.

As many of you will know, Jenny Kane is standing down after 3 years’ excellent service in the post of Chair. We now need your nominations for a new Chairperson. Please cut out your nomination forms from page 13 of the programme and send to Secretary Phil McElroy by 26 October.
Ticks and Lyme Disease awareness
A reminder to all walkers that they should check themselves for ticks after walks. A leaflet has been added to the Links page, providing information about ticks and associated Lyme disease.
Guided Tour of the Lighthouse, Mitchell Lane – Tuesday 25th September
Booking is now open for this guided tour of The Scottish Centre for Design and Architecture, designed originally by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The cost is £3 per person and tea/coffee is available in the café afterwards. Please meet at the entrance in Mitchell Lane at 10.15 for the start at 10.30.
