Come to see this lovely chapel which features in the Da Vinci Code. A seated talk has been arranged in the Chapel at 12.15pm. There will be free time to explore the Chapel and the Information Centre. A coffee shop offers light lunch and coffee and pastries, or bring a picnic. Meet at Buchanan bus station to catch the 8.30 City Link bus to Edinburgh (buy own tickets), then the 37 to Rosslyn from North Bridge at 10.19. If travelling independently please meet in the Information Centre at Rosslyn Chapel at 11.30. Return buses run half hourly. Cost – £7 concession or £9 full price. Booking opened on 29 March. Geilston Gardens and Ardarden Estate

We will do a self-guided tour around the 200 year old NTS Geilston Gardens, followed by lunch or coffee at Ardardan and a walk around the Ardardan Estate, overlooking the River Clyde, which is very close by. Costs for Gardens are £5.50 concession/£7.50 full price for non-members and free for NTS members. Transport is by car, so please state on your booking form if you are willing to be a ‘driver’; usual mileage rates will be paid by passengers. Doune Castle and Argaty Red Kites

After this, we are booked to watch the 2.30pm feeding slot at Argaty Red Kites, from the ‘hide’, accompanied by a Ranger. Kirkintilloch Treasure Trail

Following last year’s very successful treasure trail around Milngavie, we will do a similar trail around Kirkintilloch, but this year it will just be for fun – no prizes – and will take place in the afternoon! We will meet in the Tesco car park, behind Cowgate, from 1.30pm and finish up with coffee in Alessio’s Café in Cowgate, where we will have a de-brief. The cost for this is only £1 per person (please bring on the day). Booking opens on 2 July. Description: We have exclusive use of the National Trust owned Gothic style house! Public areas include a conservatory & bar, large lounge and the barn suitable for a ceilidh or two.
Accommodation is in the Main House, the Walkers Cottage and the Counting House (just across the courtyard). All rooms are ensuite and of varying sizes and layouts, they will be allocated in order of booking.
Walk leaders are provided by Hf and they will offer a choice of three walks on each of the two walking days. Walking areas will be chosen from the Coniston, Langdale, Grasmere and Ambleside area.
